The technique pages explain how something works. This half of the site answers the narrower questions that come up while reading them: what a term means, which authority publishes which list, what a given programme actually restricts, and where a particular red flag came from.
Everything here is sourced to the publishing authority and carries a review date. The parts that change — the designations feed, the list statistics — are rebuilt from the authorities' own published data by scripts described on the sources page.

- Red-flag indicator library Every indicator on this site in one filterable table, each attributed to the advisory or typology report it comes from, with a link to the source document.
- Sanctioning authorities Who imposes sanctions, what lists they publish, what powers they have to penalise, and how their tests differ from one another.
- Sanctions programmes What each major programme actually restricts, which authorities run it, and which techniques appear in its enforcement record.
- Jurisdiction profiles Why particular countries recur in enforcement records and typology reports — usually because of trade volume and connectivity rather than weak rules.
- The lists themselves What each sanctions list is, who publishes it, what formats it comes in, how often it changes and where to get it.
- Designations feed A rolling record of recent OFAC actions: designations, removals, licences and guidance, tagged by programme.
