Not advice
Nothing on this site is legal, compliance, investment or professional advice. Sanctions and export control obligations depend on your jurisdiction, your counterparties and the specific transaction. If you need to know whether something is lawful, ask someone who can see all three.
Not a screening tool
Do not use this site to decide whether a real counterparty is sanctioned. It does not republish sanctions lists and is not maintained for that purpose. The authorities publish their own lists and the list pages say where.
Accuracy
Every mechanical claim here cites a primary source and every page carries a review date. Sanctions change constantly, agencies reorganise their websites, and a page reviewed six months ago may describe a rule that has since moved. Check the primary source, which is always linked.
No warranty is given, express or implied, as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose, and no liability is accepted for anything done or not done in reliance on this site.
Naming of parties
Parties are named only where they already appear in published enforcement records, court filings or official reports, and their conduct is described as those documents describe it. Where a document uses language such as "apparent violations" or "alleged", so does this site, and the distinction is not decorative. If you believe a page mischaracterises something, send a correction.
Reuse
This site's own text and data compilations are licensed CC BY 4.0: reuse freely with attribution. Documents cited here remain the property of their publishers and are linked, not reproduced.
Acceptable use
This material is published so that these methods can be recognised. Using it to attempt any of them is both outside the purpose of the site and, in most jurisdictions, a serious criminal offence.
